Classified Ads

    This section of Go Team cold market training 2 talkes about classified ads and how to use them for AmeriPlan ®. Classified ads in newspapers are a form of advertising that have been around almost as long as print. People search through the classifieds for many different reasons; some people just look through them for fun. I can't think of a reason why anyone would be reading them looking for a dental program but people do search through them looking for employment and other business opportunities. For this reason, classified ads are only good for recruiting AmeriPlan ® IBOs.

    There are several thousand newspapers in the United States. Some are big and some are small but you can advertise in all of them. I don't believe that running an ad in just one of them is really worth your time but you are free to do whatever you like. Set a budget for yourself per month and try to list your AmeriPlan ® ad in as many newspapers as possible within that budget. Big newspapers are better than small ones even if they are more expensive and you should try to advertise in the biggest newspapers in states that are AmeriPlan ® member rich (see the spotlight publication).

    The same basic rules apply for radio and classified ads. Don't use the AmeriPlan ® name or imply that we are insurance, and don't make any outrageous claims about how much money IBOs can make. Besides that, use good ethical sense when you're writing your AmeriPlan ® ad and don't intentionally try to mislead anyone.

    If you're willing to spend $1000 per month then you can hit several big newspapers in different cities at once. Your ad should point to your AmeriPlan ® website address and your website should have your 1-800 number on it. If you are interested in this method and would like to do some research on the newspapers, you can look them all up in the Newspaper Directory.
