Program Work?
How does the AmeriPlan Health ® Program Work? AmeriPlan Health ® is not insurance, it is a discount fee for service program called Consumer Driven Health Care. The idea behind this kind of program is to bring affordable healthcare to the people who need it without an insurance company regulating their decisions. AmeriPlan Health ® can be broken down into 4 parts that together make a complete healthcare program. Below is an explanation of each part.

  1. Primary Care Physicians - also know as PCP; these are your family doctors. AmeriPlan Health ® has thousands of PCPs nationwide who would love to be your doctor. You will receive a 20% - 50% discount on all medical services performed.


  2. Specialists - this is the group of doctors that specialize in one area of medicine, like cardiology. AmeriPlan Health ® provides a 20% - 50% reduction in the fees that specialists charge. Your PCP will let you know if you ever need to see a specialist.


  3. Ancillary Care - Everything that you may need to have done outside of the doctor's office is considered ancillary care. This includes blood work and other laboratory tests. AmeriPlan Health ® members save up to 80% on all ancillary care services.


  4. Patient Advocate - When something serious happens and you are confined to the hospital, the AmeriPlan Health ® patient advocate service goes to work for you. A patient advocate will be personally assigned to your case to negotiate with the hospital on your behalf. The Karis Group administers this service for AmeriPlan ® and the largest insurance companies also use the Karis Group for this service. Any hospital confinement over $2,500 planned or not, will be handled by the patient advocate service and the bill will be negotiated for huge savings. Payment arrangement will then be made based on your ability to pay.
